Nigerian artists Funwon and Mahriisah have joined forces to release their collaborative single Feelings, a smooth, genre-fusing track that continues to push the boundaries of Nigeria’s evolving alternative soundscape.
Released on November 28, 2025, Feelings is a vibrant blend of Nigerian Alté, Dance/Electronic, and Amapiano influences. Clocking in at 2 minutes and 39 seconds, the track delivers a concise yet immersive listening experience, pairing rhythmic depth with melodic emotion.
Produced by Funwon under Waves Unvrse/Probal Labs, Feelings leans into Afro-Beat-inspired rhythms while incorporating the atmospheric textures of electronic music and the log drum bounce characteristic of Amapiano. The result is a track that feels both contemporary and globally accessible, while still rooted in African sonic identity.
Funwon not only handles production but also contributes vocals, bringing a cohesive artistic vision to the record. Mahriisah complements this with her signature sweet yet expressive delivery, adding emotional depth and balance to the track.
With Feelings, both artists tap into the growing wave of genre-fluid Nigerian music, where Alté continues to intersect with global dance and electronic influences. The collaboration highlights a shared creative chemistry and signals an exciting direction for both acts as they continue to experiment and expand their sonic palettes.
As Nigerian music continues to diversify on the global stage, Feelings stands as another example of how emerging artists are redefining what Afro-influenced music can sound like today.
