Privacy Policy

This policy explains how URV Music (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit unrvlmusic.com, join our mailing list or contact us. We are the data controller for this information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Newsletter: your email address when you join the list.
• Contact form: your first and last name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message.
• Technical data: like any website, our servers record basic information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to run and secure the site.

We don’t ask for sensitive information, and we ask that you don’t send any through our forms.

How we use it and why

• Sending the newsletter (news, releases and updates from URV artists). Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Replying to your enquiry and handling any follow-up. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps toward an agreement you’ve asked about.
• Keeping the website working and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.

We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We only share data with service providers who help us run the site, and only as far as they need it:

• Hostinger, which hosts the website and stores form submissions.
• Our email provider, used to receive form notifications and send the newsletter.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Third-party content

Some pages load content from other services. When they do, those services may receive your IP address and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:

• Google Fonts, for the site’s typefaces.
• YouTube, for artist videos.
• Spotify, Instagram, Facebook and X, when you click through to them. These are links only and don’t load until you click.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses only cookies that are necessary for it to work (for example, for caching and security). Embedded YouTube videos may set cookies when you play them.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, after which your email is deleted.
• Contact enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we need them longer for an ongoing project or legal reason.
• Server logs: kept for a short period by our host for security purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email ogaba@unrvlmusic.com. We’ll respond within one month.
